Effect of Wuling capsule on patients with generalized anxiety disorder

Purpose: To investigate the effectiveness of Wuling capsule for treatment patients diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder (GAD).
 Methods: Patients (GAD) admitted in Affiliated Hospital Huanghe Science and Technology College, Zhengzhou, China were treated Chinese traditional patent medicine, capsule. A self-control study was conducted before after treatment. Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAMA), Depression (HAMD), Global Rating (CGI-SI) used to evaluate symptoms depression suffered by GAD Inflammatory factors (IL-6, IL-8, IFN-γ), superoxide dismutase (SOD), γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA), glutamic (Glu) levels assessed peripheral blood using ELISA treatment.
 Results: total 58 completed 8 weeks fixed-dose After treatment, scores on HAMA scale, HAMD CGI scale significantly improved compared baseline, differences statistically significant (p < 0.01). The inflammatory IFN-γ) decreased 0.05). SOD GABA/Glu increased Nine (15.5 %) had mild reactions, but no withdrew from as result adverse reactions. 
 Conclusion: capsule, is effective high safety. Future studies will need explore specific biological pathways physiological processes that are involved
